AMG HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director: Katsuhiko Hasegawa; hereinafter “AMG Holdings”), Shibutani Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Yoshio Ishibashi; hereinafter “Shibutani”), and Wired Package Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Makoto Yamaguchi; hereinafter “Wired Package”) are pleased to announce that they have entered into a business alliance agreement aimed at promoting the digital transformation (DX) of buildings (condominiums, offices, commercial facilities, etc.) using AI authentication systems.
Background and purpose of the business alliance
In recent years, proactive DX has been called for in every area: companies are pursuing greater operational efficiency in response to a shrinking workforce caused by the declining birthrate, remote work has spread and security measures have been strengthened in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and regional revitalization projects are promoting digitalization.
Against this social backdrop, AMG Holdings has entered into this business alliance agreement to make proposals for the development of, and to consider the adoption and rollout of, cutting-edge DX-ready products that combine the contactless electric locks offered by Shibutani with the AI authentication systems that Wired Package provides through its group company. We believe that combining the technologies and strengths of Shibutani and Wired Package will make entry/exit and attendance management more efficient and strengthen security in offices and other facilities, making it possible to respond to a wide range of changing needs, such as shifting consumer demands and increasingly diverse workstyles.
With the cutting-edge DX-ready products developed through this alliance, the three companies will work together to improve convenience and crime prevention for users and companies and to make operations more efficient. Through repeated study and verification of deploying the products in condominiums, office buildings, and other properties developed by AMG Holdings group companies, and of rolling them out to automotive-related facilities (showrooms, factories, etc.) for better security and service, the three companies aim to advance the DX of buildings (condominiums, offices, commercial facilities, etc.).
Areas of collaboration
Under this business alliance agreement, AMG Holdings, Shibutani, and Wired Package will work together on the following:
- (1) Development and manufacturing of entry/exit management systems for buildings (condominiums, offices, commercial facilities, etc.) using face recognition and hands-free, contactless electric locks
- (2) Development of products using AI authentication systems
- (3) Rollout of the systems, products, etc. listed in the preceding items within the AMG Holdings group and to its business partners
- (4) In addition to the preceding items, any other matters necessary to achieve the purpose described above
