Overview
TIGEREYE Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Gaku Kamimura; hereinafter “TIGEREYE”), a pioneer in AI-powered computer vision technology that has consistently provided cutting-edge services and promoted solutions to social issues, today raised a total of ¥103.25 million through a third-party allotment of shares to investors and members of management. This brings its total capital, including capital reserves, to ¥413.25 million.
With the funds raised today, TIGEREYE will recruit talented people to further develop “TIGEREYE COMPUTER VISION FRAMEWORK,” the computer vision technology at the core of TIGEREYE; drive “TIGEREYE SECURITY SOLUTION,” which combines multiple security elements to provide the optimal security for each use case; and step up public relations and promotional activities, including sales promotion of “KAOPASS Family,” its line of face recognition AI products.
TIGEREYE also plans to launch “ONEFACE,” a service that enables individuals to identify themselves using biometric information without carrying physical ID cards, passwords, or even devices such as smartphones, and will allocate the funds to its development and operating costs.
With this funding, TIGEREYE has closed its seed round, and it plans to raise a Series A round for further growth.

TIGEREYE aims to promote the creation of smart cities by using cloud computer vision technology, centered on face recognition and available in real time in a browser, to provide services such as a biometric authentication platform, person attribute recognition, object recognition, behavior tracking, and prediction. Because it runs in the cloud, it helps companies reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. It offers a wide range of functions, including attendance management, room entry management, and two-factor authentication.

TIGEREYE SECURITY SOLUTION combines multiple security elements in real time and scores authentication results numerically, achieving the optimal security for each use case. For example, it includes anti-spoofing technology that prevents fraud using photos or videos. By combining multiple security elements like this, it raises recognition rates in actual use beyond the recognition rate of ordinary AI, which is affected by distance, lighting, camera angle, and other factors. Because it can be customized to security needs, it can be adapted to a wide range of industries and environments without compromising user convenience.
About KAOPASS Family
KAOPASS Family is a solution that uses “TIGEREYE COMPUTER VISION FRAMEWORK” and can be used anytime, anywhere, on any device, as long as there is a camera for face recognition and a browser. With “KAOPASS Attendance,” one of the KAOPASS Family products, employees clock in and out with face recognition, eliminating the need for time cards. Because it uses face recognition, it also has the advantage that only the employees themselves can clock in. In this way, KAOPASS Family provides solutions that make everyday life more comfortable.
Using the resources secured through this funding, TIGEREYE will accelerate the development of new applications and services. These include applications in a variety of fields, such as KAOPASS systems, personal authentication, health management, and smart retail. Through these new services, TIGEREYE will support the digital transformation of society to solve many social issues, and contribute to improving people’s quality of life, realizing a safe and secure society through authentication technology, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
