TIGEREYE's Face Recognition "KAOPASS Auth" Adopted for Just Planning's "Makasete Net," Preventing Fraudulent Clock-Ins and Improving Efficiency

TIGEREYE Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Gaku Kamimura; hereinafter “TIGEREYE”) announces that its face recognition login service “KAOPASS Auth” has been adopted for “Makasete Net,” a store management system for restaurant chains provided by Just Planning, Inc. (TSE Standard: 4287; Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Takashi Sakai; hereinafter “Just Planning”).

With this adoption, the prevention of fraudulent clock-ins in Makasete Net’s attendance management has been strengthened: when clocking in and out, staff can now smoothly and reliably verify their identity with face recognition and clock in with biometric authentication. In addition to preventing fraudulent clock-ins, it helps reduce the burden on store staff and improve the accuracy of labor management.

Background and purpose of the adoption

In the restaurant industry, where shift work and multi-location operations have become the norm, fraudulent clock-ins, such as clocking in on someone else’s behalf and false reporting, have become a major challenge. Such fraud leads to labor risks and inaccurate personnel cost management, with a significant impact on business management.

To solve these challenges, Just Planning adopted TIGEREYE’s “KAOPASS Auth” for “Makasete Net” to strengthen clock-in and clock-out management. Staff now verify their identity with face recognition when clocking in and out, which prevents impersonation and fraudulent clock-ins. While keeping operation simple enough for anyone to use, it improves the reliability of attendance data and optimizes labor management.
