Face Pass Revolution for Construction Sites: New Cloud System for Face-Based Site Management Debuts at JECA FAIR 2025
Construction DX with a secure face recognition foundation: The "KAOPASS Site Attendance Management System" streamlines site operations starting with attendance management.
TIGEREYE Inc. (Headquarters: Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Gaku Kamimura), a pioneer in computer vision technology delivering innovative AI and video analytics solutions, together with ITPOINT LLC (Headquarters: Ekia-cho, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima; Representative Member: Kosuke Fukushima) has developed a cloud-based face recognition system, the "KAOPASS Site Attendance Management System," to support DX initiatives at Chudenko Corporation (Headquarters: Koami-cho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima; hereinafter "Chudenko").
In the construction industry, many management tasks still rely on paper and manual processes, leading to inefficiencies and security risks. In response to real needs from the field, this system was planned and developed to be practical and easy to adopt. The "KAOPASS Site Attendance Management System" will make its debut at JECA FAIR 2025 (the 73rd Electrical Construction Industry Exhibition), held at INTEX Osaka starting May 28, 2025.
A Practical Cloud Service that Integrates On-Site Challenges and Technology
Development involved Chudenko, which has deep knowledge of on-site challenges, TIGEREYE, which specializes in facial recognition and AI development, and ITPOINT, which excels in cloud system design and implementation. By combining the expertise of all three companies, they defined operational issues and necessary feature requirements.
Key Features of the System
The "KAOPASS Site Attendance Management System" is a cloud system that streamlines construction-site attendance management with a secure face recognition process. The features currently implemented include:
- 1. Facial recognition login
- 2. Real-time aggregation of entry/exit status
- 3. Management of multiple contractor tiers
- 4. Data import and export functions
Future Development
The three companies will continue development based on on-site feedback, expanding operational efficiency that begins with attendance management. In addition to current features, the following capabilities are planned for phased implementation.
- - Facial-recognition time stamping and labor management
- - Automatic CCUS integration
- - Site-level schedule sharing and coordination (centralized schedules for main contractors and subcontractors)
- - Support for creating and sharing KY (hazard prediction) activity documents
- - Future integration with daily reports, work reports, and external systems
