Overview
TIGEREYE Inc. (Headquarters: Harumi, Chuo-ku; CEO: Gaku Kamimura; hereinafter “TIGEREYE”) has released “KAOPASS Stress Checker,” which reads emotions and quantifies stress in conjunction with KAOPASS Attendance, its browser-based face recognition clock-in service. Simply by recognizing an employee’s face, the service records the clock-in and reads emotions at the same time, then displays the results in graphs and sends alerts. The service helps companies detect employees’ stress early and improve their well-being.

In factories and manufacturing, hygiene management is especially important, and clocking in with conventional time cards or ID cards poses a hygiene risk. KAOPASS Attendance (clock-in) uses face recognition, so employees can clock in hands-free and hygienically, while also avoiding attendance risks such as impersonation. KAOPASS Attendance (clock-in) is used in a wide range of environments, including the architecture and construction industries and factories and manufacturing.

With KAOPASS Stress Checker, emotional states can be recorded at the same time as clock-in. Processing employees’ clock-in and clock-out and recording their emotions in a single step makes it possible to notice emotional changes within the daily workflow and to hold 1-on-1s and other conversations at an early stage, contributing to employees’ health management.
KAOPASS Stress Checker shows how seven types of emotions change over time for each individual. For example, if the values for micro-expressions such as sadness are gradually rising, there may be something causing anxiety. There are also patterns in which emotions such as happiness gradually decline. In addition to this regular check of emotions, a feature is available that detects people whose disgust or anger has risen above a certain level and sends an alert.

By adopting TIGEREYE’s KAOPASS Attendance and KAOPASS Stress Checker, companies gain the convenience of hands-free clock-in for employees and can respond early by understanding stress in real time. See our case study to learn the secrets behind how it improved efficiency and reduced costs across the workplace.
